Most of my pictures lately are of the the time we spend in our backyard and that means that the girls often don’t have much/any clothes on. I’ve recently learned that this makes for a bit of a challenge when submitting my photo each week over at the I Carry Your Heart Blog. With that said, this week’s images are up and Audrey is over there hanging on a tree in her undies. I love it because this is pretty much EXACTLY how my children look, perhaps with a bit more dirt caked between the folds, on a day-to-day basis. I’ve had some somewhat conservative comments made about our choice to share so openly in this. To each their own, and this is who we are. Tree hanging, underwear-wearing, people. Gloriously happy.
June at a Glance
June, June, June. We ended our second year of preschool and ballet and welcomed Summer with open arms. We also went to Anacortes for a few days, the beach, Barry took the girls ‘camping’ at his mom and dad’s, and we hit up Farmer’s Markets and Arts Festivals in Edmonds. I tend not to lug my camera around when we go on adventures or I’m around people that I’m not sure want their picture taken. That said, lots happened that isn’t here.
On our way back from our stay in A-town, we were driving through Skagit Valley and the fields were rolling with golden and green for as far as our eyes could see. The first three images below are from that quick stop, both girls in PJs (Maggie in my tank top since I couldn’t find her PJs). The rest of the images are from our antics at home or in A-town.
Maternity Session
I never really know what to do when I do a photography session with the images, other than delivering them to the client. But these images I recently took of a friend, pregnant with her fourth, are too good not to share. I mean, she’s stunning. I can feel myself growing as a photographer and I’m learning, slowly at times, how I want to pursue this passion of mine. Head over to my photography website (I’m a small business owner now!!) to see the full session. These are just a few of my favorites.
