BFFs @ HBHQ

Sometimes I think to myself  “They better be best friends” when they’re older, and then I chuckle because, really, I don’t have control over that. Truthfully, I can provide as many meaningful experiences and demonstrations of what sisterhood looks like/feels like through different seasons, but it’s up to them to keep cultivating this strong bond. Lately they’ve been giggling as they explore our yard and Audrey accepts Maggie’s “leadership” skills without too much of an argument. I’m squishing them together as often as possible…..

And a total aside, I had a fellow mom tell me that her boys were BFFMOTT (Best Friends Forever Most of The Time)…..and I couldn’t help but laugh. Ain’t that truth?

It’s Thrusday, head over to the I Carry Your Heart Blog to see this week’s images!

Riding in the Rain

It didn’t matter that it was raining or that it was long past bed time. What mattered was that her sister would push her to the top of the hill and then help launch her at full-speed towards the bottom. She only ran into the bird bath and garden once….other than that, totally worth the skipped bath and late bed time. Fearless Little Danger Cat our Audrey Bell.

Blue Man Group Be Prepared

maggie mae1

Last year she got the Ice Princess face painting at the Edmonds Arts Festival and wore it for a couple days longer than we would have preferred. But she LOVVED it. This year she remembered exactly where the face painting booth was and had a very clear plan as to what she wanted to get. To say that she’s a proud chicken would be a complete under statement. She’s a five year old with a freakin’ pegasus on her forehead, it really doesn’t get better than that.
