Her Hair Makes Her Wild

maggie maeI can’t believe that I had any part in making her.

She’s gorgeous, fiesty, smart, happy, curious, lovable, goofy, proud, brave, honest, silly, truthful, and simply divine. 

These days she loves to hear any story from my childhood. I tell her stories and she listens like a little lion. 

She’s reading. Seriously reading. She knows sight words and can sound out other words. 

We’re into the BOB books and she can hardly contain her excitement when she gets time to snuggle with either me or Barry for some reading time. 

She still loves ‘snuggle time’ and so do I. 

No need to rush this ‘growing up’ stuff anymore than necessary.

Perhaps the Only Pictures I Ever Take are in Anacortes

According to my pictures that I’ve taken lately it appears that I’ve been going to Anacortes quite a bit these days. Granted, many of the pictures lately have been from a few months ago when Barry was on an extended work trip and when I was up hoping to touch base with a dear friend. That said, being the serendipitous way that Anacortes is, we had a few extra special times with my mom’s side of the family and my cousin’s kids. We also had a chance to go visit my grandma, Midge, and play with her yarn balls. Audrey used the stool, that is typically reserved for the doll, and picked a ball of yarn out of Midge’s batch and started to unwind it like a little old lady. My brother and Maggie had a very intense Montessori Moment together with working to wind it back up.
