Candle Party

Candles are nice to have around the house. Very relaxing, great smelling and all that, but if you leave them unattended they could be dangerous or at least very messy.

On Duty

Hannah and I took a trip into town for a couple hours, and left Sydney with our usual departing comment: “You’re in charge. Guard the house.” Mainly we say this because we find the idea of a pug guard dog rather commical.

When we returned home from our trip we wanted to sneak up to the living room window to see what our “guard dog” was up to. We both guessed that she would be sleeping. We were wrong. As the image attached to this post proves, our dog is nothing if not dedicated to protecting her house.

Rockstar Status

Sydney and I made a little trip to Hilltop today, and I felt a lot like a rock star’s body guard. “Stay back. One at a time. Yes, this is Sydney. No, she won’t perform at your birthday party.” Seriously, I uttered all but one of those statements multiple times.  On top of that, throughout our time at Hilltop there were shrieks of “Sydney’s here! Do you remember me?! Oh look at that guy with Sydney. He must be the handsomest grandson-in-law“. Again, all but one of these things actually happened multiple times.

In true rock star fashion she celebrated when she got home by breaking some stuff and trying to cut herself.
