Rain Riding

Riding to work today seemed like a great way to squeeze a little exercise into the day, and it is. Although I’m not too excited about the upcoming ride home. I think I’m going to be getting pretty wet. To illustrate my point, I’ve included a shot of the street from my office window not to show off the view (it is pretty nice if you’re into construction sites), but to highlight several of the pedestrians using umbrellas. Wimps! Ha ha, who needs to stay dry any way?

Hands free

I’ve made an amazing discovery. Well, actually Izak pointed out a bit of amazing iPhone technology to me – The headphones that ship with the phone have a microphone in them. Yeah. Hands free goodness in my earbuds. Never again will an exchange like the one that happened the other day occur*:

Caller: hello
Me: hey, what’s up?
Caller: uh, am I on speaker phone?
Me: yeah, does it sound a little tinny?
Caller: it does, but at least you’re driving legally.
Me: well, I’m actually sitting at my computer, but it’s easier to type without holding the phone to my ear.
Called: safe typing is important… Listen do you think you can quit multitaking and just pick up the phone. It’s kinda hard to hear you.
Me: oh, fine. But I’m blaming you if this blog post doesn’t get written.

*names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Anyway, thanks Izak. I feel my productivity shooting way way up.

Air Hockey

Hannah claims that she has received several questions about the quality of the pictures included in this post.  They have been deemed not up to HB standards and have been taken down.

Hannah and I periodically like to stage little air hockey matches between the two of us. Since we live pretty close to Funtasia, we decided to stop by and play a quick best of 3 series. This time around I ended up coming out on top.

We even took a break to play a drumming game that seemed a little like something out of Garage Band. I don’t think either of us will be making a living as a musician any time soon.

On a side note. We weren’t the only people of voting age hanging out at the arcade. In fact, the number of people older than us surprised me a little bit. Maybe we aren’t the only ones amused by cheap little games. Or maybe they just took their kids to the funplex. Either way, it’s an interesting crowd.
