An Email Exchange

This wasn’t really an email “exchange” I suppose. It’s probably more like an email update, but I’ve already entered the blog title and feel committed at this point. Anyway, here’s a message I received from Hannah several weeks ago as she is starting to realize that she is not, in fact, immune to morning sickness.

Hey.

Captain awesome here.

Feeling super awesome.

Not.

On my second bottle of 7 Up.

Should have seriously bought the 6 pack.

Only bought two.

Teriyaki chicken might rock my world tonight.

Just sayin’.

You know?

Captain Awesome.

Awesomely out.

I enjoy her entertaining funniness even though she had been feeling progressively worse as the earliest days of her pregnancy went by.  Regardless, I feel like I can describe her message then and now as ….  awesome.  Especially since the nausea seems to have passed, and is being replaced by tiredness.

Full Name: TBD. For now I just go by The Mini or Baby.

Age: not officially born yet. I’m just about to head into the second trimester. If everything goes according to plan, I should arrive at the end of April though.

Favorite Color: I’ve been seeing everything in black and white lately. I have a feeling I might lean towards either pink or blue in a few months.

Current Favorite Food: Chocolate milk and Hansen’s Soda. Yummy!

Favorite Place to Visit: I’d be cool with anywhere I can just take a breath of fresh air on my own. Although for some reason Sydney pops into my head like I’ve heard that name somewhere before.

Where do you see yourself in five years: Working as a line leader in kindergarten.

applesauce

This weekend I made applesauce and an apple pie and they were pretty tasty – if I don’t say so myself. My grandma loaned me her sieve and so I didn’t have to worry about getting any seeds or skins in the tasty sauce.

I like using the sieve because it reminds me of all the times my grandma used it to provide delicious applesauce for her own kids and their kids.

Sydney spent her time slinking around the kitchen hoping that some applesauce or pie would slop onto the floor.

No such luck for that pup.
