We cleared out the guest bedroom and the no longer think of it as a catch-all for things we don’t know where to put.

Instead we’re filling it up with All Things Baby.

The crib got put together and now we’re playing Musical Furniture.

Baby steps, people. Baby steps.

Today is the day that I have the Glucola test test to find out if I possibly have pregnancy-related diabetes. Of course this test won’t tell me if I’ve got diabetes, but it will ‘evaluate the risk’ for diabetes.

I’m banking on a ‘normal’ test, but I’ve got to spend the day avoiding foods with sugar, fruit juices or dried fruits, which should be easy. Drinking the orange drink should be an adventure….it sure doesn’t look like chocolate milk and I’m going to guess that it doesn’t taste like it either.

Yuck.

One of the gifts that Phil and Geneviève gave us was a CD for us to start listening to and continue to listen to after the baby is born. We’ve really enjoyed the thoughtful gift ~ with the exception of the track that Sydney barks along to. That one might have to be removed from the playlist once HBaby gets here.
