To The Valley

Before we went to San Francisco,I took the girls up to A-Town for a quick trip to drop Sydney off. It happened to be on a day that Linda was able to be home and so we went up to visit at her house as well. Both my parents and Greg and Linda’s house had gotten a bit of snow, so it felt like the official early kick off to Winter, even though we were a few weeks ahead of schedule. When I get the chance I really like to swing by Midge’s and see what she’s up to. Maggie has been there enough times that she knows where all the toys are and has a sweet relationship with Midge. Audrey wanted to dig right into the pile of perfectly round balls of yarn, but we were able to distract her. On that day, my aunt Nancy was visiting and happened to have her computer with a touch-screen. She kindly let Maggie smudge up the screen while looking at pictures of a recent Hawaiian adventure. Linda already had her house beautifully decorated and Maggie got to see “Christmas in every room” and even hang a ‘wish’ on the tree. It was a fun, and very quick trip, but well worth it. Hard to believe that Christmas Eve is now a mere hours away.

I always end my posts these days with a reference to nap time, but right now Maggie is stage whispering to Audrey – rallying Augie to get up.

And now there are tears.

The show must go on.
