S’More Fun

We have an amazing fire pit area in our backyard that hardly gets the use that it deserves. We’ve got lights strung up that turn on each night and call our name, but it usually looks most appealing right as the girls are melting and ready for bed. A couple weekends ago, we stayed home all weekend and had a late afternoon campfire and s’mores in the pit and it was a nice reminder how nice our yard is and what fun s’mores can be. I’m sure we’ll be out there again sooner rather than later…..because the ‘mallow roasters have yet to be put completely away….

The Sister Outtakes

This is the very last post I’ll do related to Audrey’s 6 mont portrait project, but I couldn’t resist throwing together a series of pictures of both Mags and Audrey together. I think it gives a taste of what life with these two little girls is like….lots of hugs, squeezes, laughter and a little bit of tears, yelling and screaming. I’m fighting the urge to do a series of “What Maggie Did While I Took Pictures” type of post because there really are some funny ones, but I think I’m ready to move on from this and get onto capturing our day-to-day life again. I’ll sprinkle some of those images from ‘behind the scenes’ a bit more. But for now, take a peek at some of these pictures. My favorite? Not sure…they’re all slightly sweet and funny to me.

Outtakes of Audrey

I’m kind of sad that the month of photographing Audrey is over because it was so much fun each day to take a few moments and be really intentional about looking at her through the lens and seeing how she takes in her surroundings. She really is a very, very happy baby and on most days I was faced with choosing images that displayed her cheerful disposition. Enjoy the outtakes.
