I set Audrey down in the kitchen while I unloaded the dishwasher and eventually left her there to sweep the floor. It wasn’t long before Maggie had surrounded Audrey with pillows from our couches and beds. Even though Audrey sits with almost never falling, Maggie is very adamant that Adurey is “safe” and I’m not going to argue with this thinking. Pretty soon, as I kept sweeping, I heard Maggie telling Audrey that they were in a balloon and going ‘high up into the sky’ and to ‘hold on!’ I’d swept nearly the whole house before I got an invitation to go on a balloon ride with them. I abandoned my piles of dirt and plunked myself down and readied myself for liftoff. The sunhats were part of the bit – not entirely sure the exact purpose of them. Audge goes along with her sister – is happy to be poked and prodded, happy to have a playmate.
Audrey Bell: Day Six
We went to visit my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Mike for the day and spent the afternoon out on their porch, a delightful area tucked behind their house. Off to the side of their house is a perfect little orchard and I snagged Audrey and took a few pictures before we stripped off her clothes and stuck her in the little bath tub on the deck. As I take these pictures of Audrey, I’m realizing that I very rarely get an image of her with her mouth open. Her little bird lips are almost always open and she’s ‘talking’ majority of the time. Side note: I like this picture because it reminds me of Maggie. Right now Mags is going through a phase where if she’s got any excuse to hold up her finger – because she’s busy doing something (eating, drawing, etc.), and not answer a question right away, she’ll take it. Apparently we must tell Maggie ‘just a minute’ too often because she’s doing it to us!! Sooooo, this picture looks like Big Sister has taught Little Sister a thing or two.
Audrey Bell: Day Five
I took this right before Barry and I left to go on a quick happy hour date, leaving the girls with my mom. I love the late afternnoon and early evening sun, but our house is often chaotic at that time ~ trying to get through dinner, baths and bed time – that I forget to pick up my camera and snap a few shots. Summer in the PNW is stunning. Audrey first used those blankets here. Love that my little chicken is growing, growing, growing!
