Maggie,
Three months have sailed by and looking at you today I am amazed at how much you have learned in less than 100 days.
Each morning you greet us with smiles and your bright, bright eyes and each evening you show us your square mouth, as Grammy named it. Within the last few weeks you have started to love your play mat and you get in quite a few ‘workouts’ this way. Once you figured out that one of the hanging toys makes noise, you constantly position yourself under that butterfly to make it light up and sing. By the time I sit down next month to write, I have a feeling that you’ll be rolling over.
We’ve discovered that you hate the car and the only way to get you to ride for a long period of time is to make sure you are sound asleep. That hasn’t stopped us from taking you places though. This month you went to Glacier, Anacortes, Alger, Arlington and all over Snohomish County – such a trooper when you’re sleeping. We also celebrated 3G’s birthday this month and Grammy brought you out to the fire, where everyone was singing along to Grandpa’s music, your eyes almost bugged out of your head when you saw the flames. You were such a show-stopper, it was hilarious.
You continue to be a great conversationalist letting us know when you’re upset or super happy. I often hear your dad talking to you about our house and gardens, taking you on a tour of our home making sure you know what each room is for. Last night I even heard him brushing his teeth while he was holding you, explaining that some day you’ll have teeth to brush, but not yet, thankfully!
You are beginning to stir from your slumber and I’m going to go cuddle on you before you bust out your square mouth.
Never did we imagine someone as amazing as you would be our daughter.
We love you so much, Mags.
Love,
Mom
