To The Little Pup

Today is Sydney’s 4th birthday and we’re letting her snooze in before we drag her out of bed for a walk. This past year has been full of big changes for her and she deserves a few moments of relaxation without her tail getting tugged or rolls getting pinched.

Life before Maggie was a bunch of naps, games and walks for the Tubby Pug, but now she has to fight a bit more to find a quiet spot, get a game going or even get out the door some days.

Once Maggie realized that Sydney was a living, breathing thing, she was enamored and once Sydney realized that Maggie likes to drop snacks over her high chair, she too was enamored with Maggie.

Just because both Maggie and Sydney have discovered the benefits of friendship, it does not mean that everything has been perfect.

Along with a juicy treat, I think today I’ll try and make a more concentrated effort to protect Syd’s space and make sure she can relax like the olden days….

especially if it means pulling Maggie out of the crate yet again. The Pug needs her peace and quiet, especially on her birthday!
