Forced Family Fun

Elvrum Crew

Last night Barry and I had dinner with my family at Phil and Genevieve’s house. It was so much fun to be with my family, I haven’t been in Anacortes for months.  We sat on the porch enjoying the last of the sun that came out talking, snacking and admiring P&G’s new homestead. Exactly what I’ve been dreaming about.

After dinner we busted out Settlers and I was attempted to accomplish #24 on my 30 Before 30 list. Izak built the Longest Road and after that we were doomed. Phil, my dad, and I had to work together to fend him off. So, still I am left with #24 on my list. We laughed so much together, I have really odd, funny, men in my family.

Spring Break 2009 has officially begun!

Signed, Sealed, Delivered!

nbPhew. Done. Yesterday I mailed off my National Board package….hopefully never, ever to be seen again, thankyouverymuch!

I’m going to go celebrate. Then I’m going to do my happy dance. Then I’m going to celebrate again, again and aaaaaagain! Then, when I’m done feeling happy about that, I’m going to start studying for the real test…at the testing center. Boo. Hiss.

Wait, I’m supposed to be celebrating. I’m off to do my Happy Dance!!!

What’s that you say??? You want to do a happy dance for me? Oh, go right ahead. I won’t tell anyone. Dance like nobody’s watching.

Centurions

Hannah and I have had several conversations about the small scar on my forehead. I’ve always told her it was from falling on a Centurion. I’m pretty sure she’s secretly been skeptical of this answer, because she’s never heard of the Centurions cartoon.  Let’s be honest, how many of you out there have? In fact, I was starting to doubt it’s popularity, and was thinking maybe it was a Canadian thing since I grew up so close to Canada. Luckily, Bradley Littlejohn found this fabulous YouTube video to prove that Centurions did in fact exist:

I believe I can thank Jake Rockwell for the scar.
