We now have 5 teeth, People!!! FIVE!!! Here’s the deal when you’ve got an almost 7 month old with 5 teeth: you get cranky outbursts….in the middle of the night. I just noticed yesterday that she has two more breaking through, which explains a bit of her restlessness at night. Barry was gone for a few days and I thought I had everything under control until Audrey saved up all her puke that she has NEVER puked in her whole life, and puked it all out on me at Trader Joe’s. I kept my cool and Maggie was amazing, but it wasn’t like we could run for the door since we were in the process of paying. I paid and they graciously brought the groceries to me in the parking lot – while I cursed myself for even taking a shower earlier in the day. Audrey was happy as could be – before and after the puke, so I wasn’t too worried. By the time we got home and unloaded the groceries, Audrey was ready to nurse. So, there I was, half covered in puke, half dressed when Barry came home…..it totally looked like I’d lost my mind, but he knows better than that.
Today we went to Yost Pool, which is the nearby outdoor pool, something I haven’t done yet this summer because, quite frankly, I can’t wrap my brain around having two children to keep an eye on when neither of them can swim. Barry was home and so we drove the 2 miles (can’t wait for Auge to be ready for the bike trailer!) and spent almost an hour bobbling around. Maggie is getting so brave and Audrey almost fell asleep in Barry’s arms. Reminded me of this. I think when we left the pool, Maggie was the only person in actual clothes, Barry, Audrey and I were in some sort of bathing suit/towel/cover up. When we got home Barry and Maggie started weeding in the back yard and eventually Audrey and I went out as well, after she napped, and watched. Today’s picture is her watching the weeding going down in her pool cover-up. Captivated by Big Sister, once again.
