The fascination about putting things on her head hasn’t died yet and today when Maggie snagged her dirty bloomers from a previous out fit, I was thankful it wasn’t dirty underwear. We’ve started our second week of swimming lessons and it has turned into a private lesson because the one other child in our class dropped out. So, we start our mornings at the outdoor pool and we’re the only ones frolicking in the water, other than the summertime swim team kids.
The other swim lessons don’t start until after ours is done and so Maggie has developed a bit of an audience consisting of parents waiting for their children and lifeguards. By the time our lesson is over, we’re both pretty cold and ready for the hot tub, which is full of kids just finished with swim team practice. Once Mags warms up she likes to practice jumping off the step into my arms or practice smiling at the other hot tubbers.
I’m just waiting for Maggie to put her wet suit or my underwear on her head in the locker room, but so far so good. Instead she has her snack cup ready to enjoy a few tidbits while we transition to our next activity…which often involves inviting Sydney to go on a walk with us.
