Up and Running

I got a new camera and I’m practically beside myself with joy and excitement! My old camera was ‘toast’ as the guy at the camera store told me, which I pretty much already knew. My old camera is sitting on the counter and I can’t bear to throw it away. I have lugged that thing so many places that, even though it doesn’t work, it represents so many changes in my life.  My new camera is so much faster and just a pure delight.

We’ve been back from our road trip to Montana for a week now and our house doesn’t look like it is recovery any longer. I’m planning on doing a couple big photo dumps, without words, but here are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip.

missoula
Watching the surfers in the river. Missoula, MT.
mags and audrey
The moment Audrey opens her eyes, Maggie is right there. Every single morning.
maggie at chico
My favorite 3 year old at one of my favorite places.

Maggie fell down on a ‘hike’ up to the Trout Pond at Chico. She was really worried about how her injury would do in the water. Funny to note that she had full range while in the water….

One of our only family portraits. We had all just taken turns trying on the shower cap.
barry and the girls
He started the bed jumping.
barry and maggie
Father’s Day. Maggie painted him a mug and he used it every single morning on the trip.

  1. BAH! You can’t just say you got a new camera and NOT say what it is!!!!??????!!!!!!!! I’m still in the market. Desperately need to pitch my failure-to-focus piece of ____. Did you just get another Rebel?

  2. I got the new 6D. I felt like I was ready to move beyond the Rebel family and now I’m glad I listened to myself because the 6D is waaayyyyy faster. An investment for sure, but one that I know I’ll use daily.
