A few weeks ago I found myself at the craft store gazing at the fancy paper section and admiring all the different textures, colors and themes. I don’t scrapbook or do origami and so my need for tasteful paper is really non existent. That didn’t stop me from buying a paisley piece that I absolutely loved.
When I brought the paper home and showed it to Barry, understandably, he didn’t seem too impressed. What was I going to do with it – besides gaze at it with joy in my heart? So, it sat and I gazed. I moved it from here to there and enjoyed the colors and soft turns of the paisley.
Also during this time I had been researching baby bedding and had decided that I did not need a bedding set and certainly not bumpers – since some people believe they aren’t safe and eventually they’ll have to be removed from the crib. I was fine with that and was planning on buying swanky sheets to go with a crib skirt that my mom had picked up.
Then I happened to see this bedding that looked like my paper – my paper that had since been moved for me to gaze at in the baby’s room. I bought the bedding set and brought it home with the intent to see what it looked like next to my precious paper. I think I like how it looks and I’ll admit that I’ve done a bit of gazing.
Perhaps if I carry around the paper around long enough I’ll be able to make the whole room come together!
I LOVE IT!!! Do you think Connor would mind if I redecorated his toddler room with this set instead of the jungle theme we already picked out?
Beautiful! For the record…I think a good bumper pad is amazing!
