A few years ago on our road trip down the coast we stopped in Crescent City and wandered around the meager town. We were actually there for the 4th of July and had a grand time. There were countless signs about the Tsunami that hit the city in 1964. I laughed at the water level, just hitting over my head, not really comprehending what it would really mean to have water destroy a town that I inhibited and shoot fear into my life.
Now, a few years later Japan’s earthquake brought tsunami warnings to places that hold people I know and love, not to mention the horrific devastation that the quake caused in Japan. Looking at the images, reading about exploding nuclear reactors is enough for me to feel heavy and count my own lucky stars.
May all be right in your world.
