This past weekend we finally had a chance to meet Little Miss Scarlett Wildfire, and she is everything her parents say she is. Maggie’s head nearly popped off at having another ‘baby’ around and couldn’t get enough little loves in with Scarlett. To say that Scarlett looks like her dad, Joe, would be an understatement….or maybe Joe just looks like Scarlett? Either way, seeing their round faces and shining eyes together was a great way to spend an afternoon. Plus, it meant that Claire and I could catch up on all things breastfeeding/birthing, which I have no doubt the men appreciated.
We also started the chair portrait series with Audrey on the day we came home from the hospital. Sydney was very interested in the whole set up and wanted to be in the pictures. Also, Maggie brought Audrey the little Sweet Pea stuffed toy as a ‘welcome to the world, Sister’ gift and it seems to be the perfect toy because Mags is very familiar with her own chair portrait pictures.
Someday, when sleep isn’t the obvious better choice, I’ll write more. Tonight? I’m off to sleep while I can!
